Developing proper management of internal changes as local linkages are developed;
Ensuring the avoidance of pitfalls of other destinations through consultation, monitoring and pre-designed corrective measures;

Implementing the employment of  bi-laws, national tourism policy, national responsible tourism policy and the development industry corrective
measures for any  prevailing issues;

Ensuring the full and complete management of social-cultural impacts;

Monitoring the minimization of negative environmental impacts;

Organizing symposiums and conferences on the issues confronting Belize in the sustainable development of tourism;

Undertaking research and consultancy projects in Belize and the immediate region;

Advocating change and encouraging stakeholders – government, the private sector in Belize and in nearby markets, conservation organizations, travelers and local communities - to “take responsibility for achieving sustainable tourism, and creating better places for people to live in and for people to visit.”
