ICRT-Belize was legally registered as a Non-Governmental Organization in April 2008 as the Belize based arm of the International Centre for Responsible Tourism of the United Kingdom.  ICRT-Belize was formed as an independent entity with expressed goals of ascertaining the needs of the country of Belize and the region as it relates to Responsible Tourism and to undertake specific tasks to promote responsible tourism, sustainable development and best management practices in the tourism and hospitality industry.
