Belize is only 180 miles long and 68 miles wide. It brings together approximately 8,866 square miles of endless natural treasures and a melting pot of cultural diversity. The Country has an equally small population of  approximately 300,000 people with a unique history of Maya, Spanish and British influences.  The people of Belize are referred to as the 'Melting Pot' of Central America where on any given street you will find a mixture of Creoles, Mestizos, Garifuna, Maya, Mennonite, Anglo-European, Middle Eastern and Asian, all of whom are locals.

The Official Language is English, However you will find that most people also speak Spanish and the majority speaks Creole (a form of patois developed from the days of British colonialism). Other languages spoken in Belize include Garifuna, Maya, German and Mandarin.
